Tulare County Republican Party Facebook page post 10/26-2026
In a blatant lie, the Tulare County Republican Party’s Facebook page today made a political post, directed against a sitting Visalia City Council member, Emmanuel Hernandez-Soto. In that post, TCRP claims Soto voted against approving a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Visalia. That is false.
In this comment to the post, a former member of the Visalia City Planning Commission, Adam Peck, says the post “intentionally misstates what was before the Planning Commission and the City Council”.
The candidate targeted by this lie also responded to the post, linking the associated city documents, and video of the meeting.
This speaks volumes to the contempt in which the Republican party holds it’s members. They must think of them as lemmings, who will follow and believe no matter how easy it is to refute the claims. The rubes won’t check, and will believe anything they’re told.
When they’ll lie about easily verifiable things, what will they lie about that’s harder to check?
Basically, you can’t trust the Republican Party. At all. Ever. About anything. And that image is probably trademark infringement on Chick-fil-A’s intellectual property.
Somebody should tell them the story about the boy who cried wolf. Even if they’re only giving the moral of the story that a Cardassian would understand.

The Tulare County Republicans are deleting comments that prove their post a lie.
Random thoughts, occasional rants, illuminating commentary, and an odd story now and then from the world of 9-1-1 dispatching. All this and more from a gay liberal atheist living in California’s Bible belt. I recently married, so MAGA beware! I’m your worst nightmare! Some names have been omitted to protect the innocent, but the guilty will be hung out to dry!

In September of 2025, I posted “Right-wing activists attempt to use Kirk murder to oust local councilman“. In July, 2026, they tried again to milk their lie, which I blogged about in “Tulare County GOP Lies in political post“. Now they’re lying about a Chick-fil-A vote that never happened.
When they’ll lie about easily verifiable things, what will they lie about that’s harder to check?
